No, the Instinct sensor is factory calibrated and does not require or allow user calibration. When you enter a blood glucose (BG) value into your MiniMed system, it is not used to calibrate the sensor. Instead, the system uses the BG to verify sensor performance and ensure the system is operating as intended . The system will let you know if something needs to be done, such as another BG entry or change sensor, to keep the system working appropriately.
